I came back to work today. I said some prayers and then checked my e-mails. I had 36 unread. Not bad for August. The first one I opened was from a student who wanted me to pray.
She had some tragic news.
I had come in today to work on the Boldrewood Tunnel Soc web page, but instead I just sat.
For a while I felt crap.

Then I went downstairs and lit a candle and I thought about the God who is light and in whom there is no darkness at all.
And I spent some time praying for my student and her family.
I'd like it if you did that too.

Thank you. I'm not the person that this is about, but thank you for posting this. In my feeble capacity I shall try and pray for this person.
Peace to her and yourself.
when i first read your blog i thought, great i now know what your work place looks like and so can picture you hard at work there. Then i read on... then i too felt very sad, pi questioned why i had been particuarly affected by this girls plight and your response. I then realised i was very touched by your response, the way you genuinuely care for those put in your charge.
I will say a pra, both for you and the girl, and remember that God works outside of our time so not to feel guilty that you have only just read her mail
