The Methodist Church is offering to join the Church of England.
Forward in Faith are threatening to leave.
Let's do the Maths.
Number of Forward in Faith parishes in the entire Diocese of Winchester: 4
Number of Methodist Churches just in Southampton: 6
Come on Beney we need that ordinariate.

Of course, as whole Parishes will not be able to go, the numbers game becomes even more interesting. My understanding is that individuals can choose to move and be received into new Ordinariate 'Parishes'.
All of this to be completely self funded, without any financial help from the CofE or any money from the RC Church.
Swimming the Tiber will be a huge sacrifice for those who leave, and I wonder how many feel so strongly that they are prepared to dip their toes in.

"The Methodist Church is offering to join the Church of England."
I'm not sure that's an entirely accurate interpretation of what the President of the [Methodist] Conference said. From what I've read, it was simply put that the CofE and the Methodist Church need to work closely together and the Methodist Church is committed to this, so much so that if it was necessary to cease to exist as a separate denomination to ensure God's work is being done, this would be considered.
